Nevada Gold Mines, Komatsu Partner for Autonomous Haulage System

Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) and Komatsu have forged a partnership to implement Komatsu’s FrontRunner Autonomous Haulage System (AHS), marking a significant stride in the mining industry’s pursuit of enhanced safety and operational efficiency. Barrick’s president and chief executive, Mark Bristow, emphasized the company’s commitment to realizing its strategic goals through this initiative. “The new system allows NGM to have better performance, predictable behavior, fuel, and security,” Bristow stated. “This all makes for a ‘more sustainable’ operation for the sector.”
